Negotiations is the first level in Lego Star Wars: The Video Game and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, taking place in the large Trade Federation Battleship that Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi reside in at the start of The Phantom Menace.

Level Description[]

Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic! With a blockade of deadly battleships, the Trade Federation has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Naboo.

The Supreme Chancellor has secretly dispatched Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to settle the conflict...

The player will start as Qui-Gon Jinn and have Obi-Wan Kenobi as their partner, though they have the exact same skillset. There will be things to break in the starting room, as to get the player familiar with their lightsaber, but the only way to leave the room is by using the force on the door, therefore also helping the player familiarize with using the force on objects. Once breaking down the door, there will be a battalion of Battle Droids that will open fire on the player immediately, and going down the hall will grant the player even more Battle Droids to bust through. Once the player has gone through the second hallway of Battle Droids, TC-14, the first protocol droid, will be waiting for the player. TC-14 will only be used to open several doors throughout the level, but will follow the player around the entire time. Getting through the several hallways will take Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to the final area, a wide ship hangar that houses many Battle Droids scattered among the large room and the first Droidekas that will be guarding the exit. It's recommended to kill the Droidekas, but if they leave the player unharmed long enough while restoring the ledges with their force powers, they can still hop over the gate and turn off the forcefield gate to let TC-14 through, though the Droidekas will probably need to be killed to let TC-14 through. Another Protocol Droid Console activation to open up the MTT will end the level.

Collectibles[]

Minikit 1 (Story Mode): In the first hallway that the player must go through, there are 6 levers along the walls that one of the Jedis need to use their force on to pull down, and once all 6 are down, a Minikit will appear in the air at the end of the hallway. There will also be an indicator on the ceiling at the end of the hallway to show which levers have been pulled.

Minikit 2 (Story Mode): In the second hallway, the same pattern of 6 levers, now purple, will be going along the hallway, and again can only be pulled down by using the force on them, and once all are pulled, a Minikit will appear in the air at the end of the hallway. There, again, will be an indicator on the ceiling at the end of the hallways to show which levers have been pulled.

Minikit 3 (Story Mode): Once TC-14 is obtained at the end of the second hallway, the player must backtrack to the first hallway where there will be a Protocol Droid Console to use to open the door next to it. Once inside the large room, all the player needs to do is stand on one of the large red buttons on the floor, while the second player will do the same on the other, to make the forcefield gate go away so the Minikit behind it can be grabbed.

Minikit 4 (Freeplay Mode): At the end of the first hallway, where the first Minikit was situated, there will be another door that can only be opened by using the Protocol Droid Panel, but in this room there will be need for a Crawl Space Accessible character as there is a crawl space that the player must go through to get on top of a ledge where the button that deactivates the forcefield gate is. Behind the forcefield gate, the Minikit is placed very high up, so the player must use the force to stack blocks on top of each other to reach it, though even then a High Jump character will be needed to jump high enough to grab the Minikit. (Crawl Space Accessible/High Jump Character Needed)

Minikit 5 (Freeplay Mode): This Minikit will be in the same room as the last Minikit, and will be in the back left corner (if in the center) of the room, though it will be on the ledge that can only Crawl Space Accessible characters could get to. (Crawl Space Accessible Character Needed)

Minikit 6 (Freeplay Mode): Near the end of the second hallway, close to where the second Minikit was situated, there will be a door that can only be opened by using the Astromech Droid Panel. Once the door is opened, the player must change into a High Jump character and get onto the tool box, and from there the player must either switch to the other character or the second player must be a force user to lift the tool box into the air so the High Jump character can jump and grab the Minikit high up. (Astromech Droid/High Jump Character Needed)

Minikit 7 (Freeplay Mode): In the same room that the last Minikit was in, there's a deconstructed Vulture Droid that the player needs to rebuild using the force, and once it's rebuilt, it will go through a forcefield into a smaller room that can only be accessed by using the force to place down a vent gate placed up on the wall. Next, the player must use a High Jump character to get in the vent that leads to the room with the Vulture Droid, and then the player must use a character that has the hovering ability to fly over to the ledge that the Vulture Droid is on. Finally, the player must switch back to the High Jump character to get on the Vulture Droid and jump up for the Minikit. (Astromech Droid/High Jump Character Needed)

Minikit 8 (Freeplay Mode): In the final room after the third hallway and right before dropping into the hangar, the player must use the force to reconstruct the vent gate into a shelf, but instead of going to the next room, the player will now switch into a High Jump character to jump onto the shelf and use a double jump to reach the Minikit. (High Jump Character Needed)

Minikit 9 (Story Mode): Once entering the hangar, instead of jumping down to the ground, the player must double jump along the wall to the ledge on the left where the Minikit will be right above the player's head.

Minikit 10 (Story Mode): Towards the forcefield gate, there will be several crates that can be moved using the force (the large one should be moved first), and moving them will stack them up and the player must get on the top one, and from there either the player must switch to the second character or the second player should use the force on the top block to move it up to the ledge that the Minikit is atop.

Red Brick (Super Gonk): In the corner of the hangar, right next to the ninth Minikit, there will be a high ledge that has a door that can only be opened using the Astromech Droid Console. Once entering the room, one character must stand on the middle red button that will make a pillar rise so the other character can jump into the glass containers and open them with the buttons inside them (or just use a High Jump character to jump from the ground), and once both containers are opened, both characters need to be on each button inside the containers to open the container in the middle, which houses the Red Brick. (Astromech Droid Needed)

Blue Minikit 1: The Blue Minikit is placed in the back left corner of the first room.

Blue Minikit 2: The Blue Minikit is placed at the top of the left pillar in the room that's on the right side of the first hallway. The gears on the pillar will need to be reconstructed with the force so the pillar can rise up to the Blue Minikit.

Blue Minikit 3: The Blue Minikit is placed behind the 2 energy pillars on the left side of the room at the end of the first hallway that can only be opened using the Protocol Droid Console.

Blue Minikit 4: The Blue Minikit is placed in the middle of the 3 showers in the room near the end of the second hallway that can only be opened using the Astromech Droid Console.

Blue Minikit 5: The Blue Minikit is placed at the back of the same room as the fourth Blue Minikit, where the player will have to move the vent gate on the wall with the force and use a High Jump character to get to the back room, where the player will have to use a character that can hover to get to the ledge with the Blue Minikit.

Blue Minikit 6: The Blue Minikit is placed in the exact same spot as the eighth regular Minikit, use that for instructions.

Blue Minikit 7: The Blue Minikit is placed in the room in the left corner of the hangar that can only be accessed by using the Astromech Droid Console, and will be in the glass container on the right. The glass container can be accessed by using one character to stand on the button in the center to make the pillar that the other player can use to jump into the container, though it's highly recommended to just use a High Jump character to get over the container from the ground.

Blue Minikit 8: The Blue Minikit is placed in the other left corner of the hangar, behind the railings, though it will be very visible from the camera angle that the level is on.

Blue Minikit 9: Walking right from the eighth Blue Minikit will lead the player to the corner where this Blue Minikit is placed, though it will be atop a ledge that can only be accessed from a double jump.

Blue Minikit 10: The Blue Minikit is placed behind the MTT that will be used to end the level, and will not be visible to the camera unless the player goes behind the MTT.
