A boss is a major enemy in every Lego Star Wars video game.
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga[]
Darth Maul (3 and 10 Hearts)[]
Part 1: Maul will start off at the other side of a bridge so that the Jedi will not be able to engage him directly, for now. Dispatch the droids he calls in for backup by deflecting their laser bolts at them, then Maul will attempt to force throw objects that come out of the convetor belt at you. Use the force to deflect them back at Maul and take out a heart. Repeat this cycle and Maul will run away until the end of the level for part 2.
Part 2: Maul will be a lot more evasive in this part despite fighting you head on at first, occasionally jumping around the circular room. After you've taken out 6 of his hearts, Maul retreats atop an elevated platform and begins throwing objects at you. Like before, use the force to direct them back at Maul, twice. Then, he'll come back to the ground to finish the duel. Simply keep slicing and dicing at Maul, catching up with him whenever he jumps away, and the first boss of the game will be defeated.
Zam Wesell's Speeder (10 Hearts)[]
Pretty much the easiest boss fight in the entire game. Simply keep shooting at Zam's speeder until all it's hearts are gone. It is that simple.
Jango and Boba Fett (10 Hearts)[]
While Jango faces you head on, his son pilots the Slave I and will raining a huge amount of blaster fire at you. Switch to R2 and use him to activate the four nearby turrets. Boba will be distracted trying to take those out, enabling Obi-Wan to focus on Jango. Once you take out three hearts, Jango will go on his jetpack. Deflect his blaser fire to get him down to four hearts, at which point he will fire missiles at you. Deflect those with the force and he'll come down once he reaches one heart, then strike at the bounty hunter to finish this battle.
Jango Fett (10 Hearts)[]
Next time you fight the infamous bounty hunter, his son isn't here to help him, so taking him on will be remarkably easier. First, Jango will start off on his jetpack, but will come down once you deflect his blaster fire at him and take out four hearts. Attack Jango on the ground for the rest of this battle. Don't let him get far away from you as he'll open fire with blaters and missles, but as long as you don't give him the range, the bounty hunter will go down for good.
Count Dooku #1 (10 Hearts)[]
The Separatist leader faces you head on after cornering him in his lair. After taking away three hearts, he'll create a force field around him so he cannot be attacked. Instead, wait for him to throw objects at you and deflect them with the force. Keep doing this to get him to come out. Take away more hearts and Dooku will start electrocuting a character with force lightning. Switch to the other character and hit Dooku to disrupt his attack. Keep up this cycle and you will have beaten the Count, although not for good...
Count Dooku #2 (6 Hearts)[]
The Seperatist leader is back and ready for a rematch. He starts off with a lot of battle droids, so dispatch them and take out a heart. Dooku will then start electrocuting a character, so switch to another to take out his second heart, at which point he will flee upstairs, flanked by two super battle droids. Take them out and repeat this cycle, at which point Dooku jumps back downstairs for his last stand. Simply repeat the above measure and the Count will be dealt with, once and for all.
General Grievous (10 Hearts)[]
The Supreme General of the Droid Army will not be going down easy. Once you take out a heart, he will jump to a ledge that has three explosives on it. Shoot the explosives to damage Grievous and force him to return. Once he's down to 6 hearts, Grievous will retreat again, farther away than before. Use the force to make way for Commander Cody so he can shoot the explosive next to Grievous, damaging him and forcing him to fight again. Once down to three hearts, Grievous once again retreats, but with no explosive next to him. Use the force to float a nearby explosive towards Grievous, at which point shoot it to force Grievous back for a final stand. Take out his last two hearts to put an end to this menace.
Obi-Wan Kenobi/Anakin Skywalker (10 Hearts)[]
This is a more unique boss battle, and can actually choose whose side to take. Whether you fight Obi-Wan or Anakin, the fight is straightfoward: just keep attacking the other character until his hearts are down to zero. Make sure to end this battle quickly however, as the lava will cause the platform you are standing on to begin sinking. Nevertheless, the battle will always end with Obi-Wan victorious.
Imperial Spy (4 Hearts)[]
Remeber when I said that Zam Wessell's speeder was the easiest boss fight in the game? Well, this guy gives her a run for the money. Just keep shooting at the Imperial Spy until his hearts are down to zero. The thing that makes him a bit hard is that he has a lot of troops as backup and can go through doors to get around the room quicker. Just be sure to focus on him and he'll be down very quickly.
Illusion of Darth Vader (8 Hearts)[]
This isn't the real deal Vader as it's only an illusion on Dagobah. However, it still presents a taxing battle. Whenever "Vader" loses two hearts, he will teleport around the room. The first time he teleports, use both force users to lift themselves up to Vader's platform. At four hearts, he teleports to another elevated area. Use the nearby boxes to be able to jump up to Vader's platform to attack him again. At two hearts, he'll teleport to the ground for a last stand. Take those hearts out and he will vanish, ending this phony imposter
Darth Vader (9, 10, 4, and 10 Hearts)[]
Part 1: You thought the hallucination Vader was bad? The real Vader is no joke, and has 4 boss fights in the same level. Once you take a few hearts away, he'll start playing coy, bouncing around the room away from you. At that point, have R2 use the panel to jet some steam and stun him. Repeat this cycle a few more times and he will run off, being chased for part 2.
Part 2: Knock down a few hearts and he'll jump away. Take out the stormtroopers that he summons, then use the Force on the two things on the back wall to make a ramp. Have R2 go up the ramp and use the panel to steam jet Vader. Hit him some more. Next, assemble the rotator switch and the elevator panel. R2 will stand on the elevator, so rotate the switch and he'll hit the panel on top to steam Vader again. Continue on doing this until Vader is drained again and he'll run off. Chase him and part 3 will commence.
Part 3: Now, Vader is across the way, and stormtroopers are popping out of holes and shooting, all three of them well out of range. Have R2 float across and use both panels to close them, then switch back to Luke. With his minions dispatched, Vader will force throw an object at you, so use the Force to throw it back at him. Then, he'll come back for more dueling, but retreat after he loses 2 hearts. Continue this until you Force an object into him that breaks the window. Force the glass to create a platform, then follow him out.
Part 4: It is here where Vader makes his last stand against his son. Once Vader loses two hearts, he jumps away. Use the Force to create a ramp to reach Vader, then take away two more hearts to make him retreat again. Use R2 to activate a lift to reach Vader. At this point, just keep fighting and chasing Vader until he's cornered and finally has nowhere else to go. Drain his hearts to zero and the longest boss fight ever will finally end.
Boba Fett #1 (4 Hearts)[]
The now grown up Boba Fett will be chased throughout the beginning of the level. At about halfway through, he will stop to fight in a small circular room, on his jetpack. However, defeating him shouldn't be any problem. Just keep shooting him until his hearts are out and he'll run off. Although the bounty hunter will escape, it won't be the last time we cross paths with him...
Jabba's Rancor (3 Hearts):[]
He only has three hearts, but you can't hurt him using conventional means. The trick is to bring either Threepio over to the hatch on the left or R2 to the hatch on the right and use the panel to open it, which will drop a Gamorrean. The rancor will go right for the tasty bacon, then will walk into a corner to start chowing down. Blow up the container nearest him and he'll lose a heart. Repeat this for the second heart. For the last heart, he'll go to eat the Gamorrean under the gate. Pull both levers on each side of the gate to crush the giant beast and end this battle.
Boba Fett #2 (4 Hearts):[]
Pretty much the same tactic as the first one. He starts off on a small area, on his jetpack. As before, defeating him shouldn't be any problem. Just keep shooting him until his hearts are out and a cutscene will play, showing the bounty hunter's final defeat.
Darth Sidious (18 Hearts)[]
Wow, that's a lot of hearts. Duel him. When he puts on the lightning hurt, switch characters and smack him. Get him down by about five hearts and he'll run off, leaving a small mess behind. Also, two Imperial Guards will attack every time he runs off. They have four hearts and good dueling skills, so be careful. If you can, just use Vader's Force Choke to do them in. Go over to the spot the Emperor took off from to find piles and a fan. Put them together, then have both characters use the Force to make the fan. Float up to the rafters. Once you reach Sidious, he'll electrify the floor in front of him. Watch for the path that darkens and follow it, stopping on the safe spots. Once you reach him, you'll duel him a bit more.
Once you get him down to seven hearts, he'll run off again. Chase him and knock down two more hearts. He'll fly up above. Assemble the elevator and have both characters use the Force to ride up. Knock off another heart, then chase him to the other side. Knock off another and he'll drop back down to the floor. Another two will put him near the edge. Strike him once more for the last one to defeat the final boss, ending the game!
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars[]
Nexu, Acklay, and Jango Fett (4, 5, and 3 Hearts)[]
Taking out the Nexu will be the simplest in these series of bosses. You will be mounting on top of a another creature, so use it to keep ramming the Nexu to take out it's hearts. Next up is the Acklay. Strike the Acklay's legs (the front two that are glowing red) with your lightsaber. When both legs are crippled, switch characters to Padme and restrain the Ackley with the Action Button. Then, switch to one of the two Jedi and press the Attack Button on the blue Jedi insignia. Repeat this process until the Acklay loses all of it's hearts. Finally, the pesky Jango Fett is sticking his nose in your business while up high in his jetpack. As a Jedi, hold your attack button to bring up a targeting reticule. Aim it at Fett and release it to throw your lightsaber in his direction. When he's on the ground, attack him in close-quarters combat. Repeat twice more and Fett's head will be severed from his body.
General Grievous and R3-S6 (4 Hearts Each)[]
Dealing with Greivous should be pretty simple. Since he has 4 lightsabers, fighting him head on isn't wise. Lift up nearly objects and throw them at the General to stun him, then hit him. Repeat this until he's down to one heart, at which point he will retreat. As for R3-S6, use R2 to activate the lift to reach the evil astromech droid. Mash X to take away one heart, at which point he calls in vulture droids to attack the others. Destroy them with the big purple ball in the middle of the room, then attack R3 again. This time he'll seal himself off, but use the pink ball to blow it up, then take away R3's third heart. The astromech duel then goes beyond the room, so assemble a starfighter with the force to reach them. Fire at three pink symbols to destroy the bridge and send R3 falling to its destruction.
Asajj Ventress (13, 3, and 3 hearts)[]
Part 1: Count Dooku's assassin packs plenty of tricks up her sleeve. As she has two lightsabers, she'll block any attacks with us. Use a Jedi Slam attack to disarm her of one saber, then pick it up with the force and attack her to take away a heart. Ventress will then disarm you and take her saber back. Repeat this cycle three more times to move on to her next tactic: jumping away and throwing force objects at you. Use the force to throw the objects back at her. Repeat this 8 more times and she will retreat for part 2.
Part 2: Use the same tactic as before: a Jedi Slam attack to disarm her of one saber, then pick it up with the force and attack her to take away a heart. Ventress will then disarm you and take her saber back. Repeat this cycle two more times to enable a chase towards the balcony. At that point, a massive Octuptara droid will appear. Use saber throw to destroy it's main cannon, then destroy it's legs whenever it stamps down on the ground. Once it's defenses are down, jump onto the massive droid to start a freefall sequence, leading to part 3.
Part 3: Ventress will be standing on the edge of the Octuptara and hurling force objects at you, while being invulnerable (as shown by the grey hearts, rather than the normal red). Throw it back at her to make her vulnerable again, then hit her. Ventress will then jump away. Repeat this cycle two more times and the assassin will finally be defeated.
Nuvo Vindi and Vindi's droid (5, 5, 5, 5)[]
Part 1: The mad doctor will be positioned on one of several balconies in the room, with his droids engaging you below and Vindi shooting at you from above. This part is simple enough: pick up objects in the room with the force and hurl them at the Doctor. Repeat this four more times to end this part and make him retreat for part 4.
Part 2: At the same time that the Jedi are dealing with Doctor Vindi, the others will be chasing after his droid, which is carrying a bomb. It's quite durable and determined to escape. For this part, it will start hiding in blue bushes. You can tell which one it is when the bush starts shaking. Destroy it to force the droid to come out and damage it. Repeat this four more times and it will retreat for part 3.
Part 3: This part is more simple than the last. Though it has droids attacking you, there's no bushes for it to hide behind. Just wait until it stops running around the room, then take away a heart. Repeat this four more times and the resilient droid is taken out, leaving only it's creator to deal with.
Part 4: Atop a shuttle, the doctor will be shooing at you from above and throwing bombs while calling in more battle droids for support. Wait until Vindi throws a bomb at you, then throw it back at him to take him out. Keep doing this until all his hearts are taken out, defeating the insane doctor for good.
General Grievous #2 (8 Hearts)[]
Grievous is not happy at all that you have found your way into his lair and is ready to eject you from the premises. For it's first two hearts, throw a force object at Grievous to stun him, then use one of the clones to pull off one of his legs. Do this for the second leg and the next phase begins. Grievous clings onto the roof, throwing his saber at you. Shoot Grievous with the rocket launcher three times to force him back onto the ground. Defenseless, Grievous can only crawl and jump around as his last three hearts are taken, ending this encounter.
Rishi Eel (5 Hearts)[]
This battle will be pretty simple at first. Wait until the massive beast sticks it's head out and roars at the clones, then shoot it. Once it's down to two hearts, it will go to the other side of the room, leaving lego pieces behind that can be used to get there. Take out it's last two hearts the same way as before and the Eel retreats, never to bother the Clones again.
General Grievous #3 (4, 8, and 4 Hearts)[]
Part 1: The Supreme Commander of the droid army will be pulling out all the stops here, including his resililant Magnaguards. Take out the Magnaguards, then turn your attention to Greivous. When his hearts are grey, throw a force object at him to stun him, then strike the General. Repeat this twice more, and he'll end the battle before his last heart can be taken out.
Part 2: As before, take out the Magnaguards, then turn your attention to Greivous. When his hearts are grey, throw a force object at him to stun him, then strike the General. Repeat this twice more, and Grievous will switch to a second set of 4 hearts. He'll chase you to a room at the end of a hallway, where force objects must be thrown once more to stun him. Instead of simply striking him however, pick up Grievous with the force and throw him around the room like a ragdoll. Once he again reaches 1 heart left, Grievous retreats until later on in the level for part 3.
Part 3: For this last part, a Jedi will be front and behind of Grievous. He'll be blocking all attacks from the front, so switch to the other Jedi and hit him from behind. Run the edge of the hallway as Grievous will go berserk and slash all over the place. Once he stops, repeat this cycle twice more and the cowardly General will end the battle before he can lose his last heart.
Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano (4 Hearts Each)[]
To take out the chosen one and his padawan, start off by attacking Ahsoka until she drops her lightsaber and runs off. Then pick up Ahsoka's lightsaber and attack Anakin, taking away a heart, before Ahsoka returns and takes her saber back. Repeat this three more times and the battle will end.
