Biggs Darklighter was a member of the Rebel Alliance and a friend of Luke Skywalker. He went to the Imperial Academy but later decided to join the Rebel Alliance. Biggs became an X-wing Fighter pilot and participated in the Battle of Yavin. He was part of Red Squadron as Red 3 during this battle. Biggs was killed by Darth Vader, who destroyed Biggs's X-wing with his TIE Advanced x1. He wore a white helmet with a yellow and black checkerboard pattern with a circular emblem.
