The 7669 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter set was the first Clone Wars to be released. The set - along with the 7670 Hailfire Droid and Spider Droid set - were first released in the Expanded Universe theme. Later, they were changed to the new Clone Wars theme. The set was released earlier than the rest of the Clone Wars line (in 2007), instead of 2008 like the rest of the Clone Wars sets. It was the first Jedi Starfighter set with a full body Astromech droid. It included two minifigures (Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2) and Anakin's Jedi Starfighter. This set originally had the Darth Vader Box Art, but was changed to the Clone Box Art. Anakin had a facial design the same as he has in the Clone wars, not the movies.

Early minifigures[]
Since the set was released before the rest of the Clone Wars line, the minifigures did not look like the normal Clone Wars minifigures. The R2-D2 minifigure was released with the original printings instead of the Clone Wars ones. The Anakin minifigure was mostly the same, except that he had a scowling expression on his face. This printing is extremly unique, and cannot be found on any of the other Clone Wars Anakin minifigures.
Jedi Starfighter[]
The set came with Anakin's yellow Jedi Starfighter. On the bottom of the Starfighter was a set of unfoldable legs for landing gear. There were also two blue flick-fire missiles on the underside that could be pushed out from the back. Also, the "glass" window shield covering the cockpit could be moved forward to take out and replace the minifigure. Well technically you have to take the canopy off and then replace it to take Anakin out, or put him back in. There is also a lever at the back that pushes Artoo out. Also at the front of each wing there are moveable guns.
