7665 Republic Cruiser was released in 2007 as part of The Phantom Menace line. The set features hidden guns, an escape pod, and a rotating radar dish. Included are Maoi Madakor, Antidar Williams, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan), and R2-R7. The Republic Cruiser was the only set to include a minifigure of R2-R7, and, had a unique Qui-Gon Jinn minifigure.

- Some releases of this set featured the Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episode III) head (like the one featured in the 7255 General Grievous Chase, not the headset version). It was accidentally used in place of the new flesh-colored Qui-Gon Jinn head. This problem can be alleviated by contacting the LEGO Company's Customer Service.
- All minifigures are currently exclusive to this set.
