The Naboo Fighter Lego® Star Wars set was released in 1999. It was the first version of the Naboo Starfighter to be built by Lego. The set was originally retailing for $19.99 and contained 174 pieces. It also included minifigures of Anakin Skywalker (Boy), two Battle Droids and R2-D2. The set was depicting a scene from the Episode I movie, where young Anakin flew a Naboo Starfighter onto the Trade Federation ship. The "glass" cockpit on the Starfighter could be moved back to sit a minifigure, and a small opening to set R2-D2 was located behind that. The set also included a Utility Vechicle, and it was the first set to include one. The Anakin minifigure wore a brown helmet with goggles that could come down over his face. The minifigure did not come with any hair though.
